Introducing SatPathFinder for iOS

Tom Lindner (DL2RUM) has released SatPathFinder, an application for visualizing satellite orbits. Several views are available for this. The most important data is listed in a table. Overflight times can be calculated for the next seven days.

There is a special option for radio amateurs to calculate sked times. This is the period of time during which a satellite can be observed from two locations at the same time. The iPhone or iPad serves as an aid for manual antenna alignment, using the internal sensors.

What’s New in Version 2.0:

  • New: Satellite fly over times can be added to the Reminders or to the Calendar application.
  • New: Limited transceiver control for IC-705, ID-52 and ID-52 Plus for doppler shift compensation.

SatPathFinder is available for $2.99 on the App Store.
