Station Snapshot – NS3L
Welcome to another edition of Station Snapshot. This time, we are paying a visit to Steve (NS3L) of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
Steve writes “I run a complete Icom IC-7600 Station. My entire station is fully Integrated using a microHam microKeyer II. I use a Heil PR-781G, PRSM-C, & Boom or a Heil Proset (HC4). I also have a Telpost LP-100A (Two Couplers), My tuner is a Palstar AT2K.” Continuing on, Steve added “I use MacLoggerDX on my MacBookPro as my primary logging program.” Finally Steve provided the following picture of his shack.
The antennas in use at NS3L include a NA4RR Hexbeam with Yaesu G450A Rotator, Cobra UltraLite SR, W8AMZ 160M Shortened Sloper, and a Transworld TW-2010 for my Icom IC7000 SSTV Cam. Finally Steve mentioned that during contests or when operating other special modes, he uses an “ASUS Win 8.1 Laptop running Writelog, N1MM, WSJT-X, MMTTY, MMSSTV and others.”
Steve, perhaps we can “cure” you of your Windows ailment with SkookumLogger or RUMped for contesting, WSJT-X running natively on OS X, and other OS X software for your SSTV and other interests? But seriously, Steve, thank you for participating in the Station Snapshot and for sharing your information with the MacHamRadio audience.
If you’re reading this and are interested in having your station profiled as a Station Snapshot, send a brief description of your station, hardware and software in use, along with any interesting tidbits of information to [email protected].
