Fldigi v.3.22.11 released
The Fl* development team has released v3.22.11 of Fldigi; the open-source, cross-platform digital mode software. v3.22.11 introduces a new digital modem to the Fldigi set: FSQ.
The FSQ mode was developed by Murray Greenman (ZL1BPU) and previously available only in the Windows-only software FSQCALL written by Con Wassilieff (ZL2AFP). FSQ provides for some very robust decoding using Offset Incremental Frequency Keying modulation with a tone set of 33 tones. These 33 tones, with only one transmitted at a time, are spaced at 8.8Hz each, resulting in a bandwidth of approximately 290Hz.
FSQ is a unique mode, so I would recommend that you take the time to review the documentation available on the Fldigi site. The FSQ implementation in Fldigi supports the directed, undirected and image modes of FSQ.
As with all of the FL* suite, Fldigi v3.22.11 for OS X continues to support both PowerPC and Intel (i386) processors; however, separate downloads are available for each so make sure you download the correct version. Fldigi can be downloaded from the W1HKJ download page.
